Meet the Author, Ken Rohlf
The loss of his wife, Sherri, on Christmas Day after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer inspired author and now grandfather, Ken Rohlf, to write Christmas Sun and Best Friends and pursue a mission of keeping the memories of loved ones alive and teaching the value of learning unconditional love.
As a memorial to his wife, Ken’s family, along with the Eagan Rotary, established Sherri's Books - a program that purchases a book for every 1st-grade student in the Eagan, Minnesota school system.
Once a year after the book is selected, volunteers go into the classrooms, read the book to the kids, and then provide each student with a copy of the book. Many teachers throughout the years have mentioned that, for many students, this was the first book they ever owned. A portion of the profits from each of Ken’s books will be donated to Sherri's Books to grow the reach of this great program.
